Format, tests and work rights
Programme format
Rotman runs a two year MBA and a one year MBA. Ivey offers an Accelerated MBA. Schulich lists fees by term.
Entrance and English tests
Schools accept the GMAT or GRE and an English test such as IELTS Academic when your degree was not taught in English. Check each school for its minimum scores.
After the MBA
Canada offers a post graduation work permit to eligible graduates. The rules, including field of study requirements for some programmes, changed in 2024 and keep changing, so read the IRCC page for your programme before you apply.
Points to weigh
- Always read the international student fee, not the headline domestic fee.
- Study permit and work permit rules change often, so check IRCC before you commit.
- Toronto living costs are lower than London or New York, but still significant.
